Giving Tuesday is Today

Today is giving tuesday where all of Canada is encouraged to give back, do something special, help in a way that matters to you…..this should not just be one day a year.

If you work in a company, big or small there is always a way to give back

If you work at a nonprofit big or small there is always a way to give more

If you a volunteer who is already engaged, there are others you can encourage to give too

If you are a volunteer who is not engaged recently, it is time to think about re-engaging

If you are a student who has never volunteered, today is the day to start thinking about it

If you are a parent who has not encouraged your child or yourself to volunteer, today is a good day to start looking

If you are a board or committee that needs to do better, today is a good day to make a plan

If you are a senior leader in a company or nonprofit, today is the day to think about how volunteering or donating can be better done, or start a new program

Just a few thoughts as we also head into International Volunteer Day on December 5

One last thought….the number one reason why people do  not give or volunteer is that they have not been asked….today is the day to ask

Just my thoughts
