Make room in your budget for volunteer management training: The return on investment is worth it

I have had the privilege of training thousands of Canadians who have the opportunity to manage or support volunteers and one of the most common comments are that they value the training and the resources and told that they learn from my sessions are concrete and transferrable.

It is so important that anyone who works with volunteers has the appropriate tools to support volunteers. Non profit organizations typically have more volunteers than staff (sometimes hundreds if not thousands of volunteers being supported by a few) and this is a recipe for missed opportunities.

The value of training those who support volunteers are so important and will help to grow and minimize risk in your volunteer program.

So as a new years resolution……budget for volunteer management training and invite more than the volunteer program to take it
